Jim Jacobi
Jim Jacobi is the Executive Director of WPM Technology and Managing Principal and Chief Information Officer for Houston-based Walter P Moore. He is responsible for both firms’ overall information technology strategy, as well as WPM Technology’s service lines: IT Managed Services, Cybersecurity, IT Consulting and Advising, Software Development, and Advanced Visualization and Immersive Collaboration.
Jim has over 40 years of experience in engineering design, project management, and construction, with a special expertise in the application of information technology to these fields. Jim’s areas of expertise include implementation of integrated project management systems, Building Information Modeling (BIM), and other related 3D CAD project delivery systems. He has led many multi-discipline BIM Coordination Services projects and is a registered professional engineer in four states.
Additionally, Jim holds a patent for an improved facilities management system and has presented nationally on a variety of subjects pertaining to technology in the AEC industry. Jim currently serves as a member of the ACEC national CIO Roundtable, where he enjoys sharing his knowledge and insights with other leaders and collaborating to elevate the AEC industry.
